What this covers, and its sources

Corneal layers; retinal layers with the two blood supplies; the anterior chamber angle and the gonioscopy landmark order; the lids and lacrimal system; the six extraocular muscles, their actions and the diagnostic positions of gaze; the cranial nerves of the eye through the cavernous sinus and superior orbital fissure; the light reflex and the three-neuron sympathetic chain. Mechanism cards: aqueous dynamics with Goldmann's equation, the tear film, phototransduction and the retinoid cycle, accommodation, the light reflex and anisocoria, yoke muscles and Hering's law, corneal healing and sensation.

Switch between detailed 3D models, the Human Atlas eye and orbit specimen, and approved synthetic teaching illustrations. Assessment uses separate unlabelled schematics. Each representation carries its own sources and limitations; these are educational views, not measurements or patient images. The human anatomy collection adds 2,234 BodyParts3D meshes across 15 systems, with search, isolation and separation. BodyParts3D geometry is attributed under CC BY 4.0; adapted Human Atlas application code retains its MIT licence. This adult male reference does not cover every anatomical variation.

This is a study surface, not a clinical tool: the records and modules it links to own every threshold, dose and decision rule, and it asserts nothing about a patient.

References & bibliography

Sources for the whole eye, tissue layers, muscle actions, accommodation, aqueous flow, glaucoma mechanisms, brain and whole-body anatomy, and teaching illustrations. Structure-specific references remain beside each model. These sources support the teaching content; they do not validate generated images or certify the rendered geometry. Clinical review pending.
